The CEDP exam — formally the Certified Emergency and Disaster Professional — is IBFCSM's certification exam for validating professional skills with its technologies; passing it earns the Certified Emergency and Disaster Professional certification, a Professional-level credential. It is popular among job seekers for a simple reason: employers trust vendor-issued proof of skill.

One scheduling note: the CEDP exam is delivered Online proctored or onsite paper-based — keep that in mind when choosing your session.

The CEDP exam gives you 125–160 questions to complete within 120 minutes. That pacing is tighter than it looks on paper, and untimed practice will not reveal it. Rehearse with the Lead1Pass Windows software or online engine in timed mode — repeating full-length mocks until your rhythm holds is what turns preparation time into passing margin.

Passing requires Scaled score, determined by standard setting method, and official registration costs $295 USD. Remember the fee buys one attempt only — a retake is billed in full again. The budget-friendly approach is to measure yourself first: work through 148 practice questions at Lead1Pass under timed conditions until you clear the passing mark consistently, and only then pay for the seat.

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant work experience in emergency management, safety, or disaster response recommended

Vendor policies change from time to time, so before scheduling, confirm the current criteria on the official IBFCSM exam page.
